Crochet until the head circumference is 17-19 inches then add the brim 😊

I'm very confused. I started this hat just fine. Then when I get to row 13, it's not right. I have 35 stitches but the last stitch is in the first stitch. Am I suppose to do 6dc, one in each and then 2dc in same stitch all the way around? Because I do and now on row 14 I'm short by 4.

Of course! But you don’t need to make all the rounds. Don’t forget to measure your hat before you start the brim. 😊
