It is to me more small to medium going off her sizing. Not large as she said.

Remember I'm using medium weight yarn and 4.5 hook, so for crochet when working with size use your tape measure not the chains used by the creator

I'm not an experienced crocheter. I loved the look of this top. I followed your sizing because you said it was for a large person. I wanted to surprise my friend. I was totally disappointed because you were way off. This is more like a medium. It teached me a lesson not to follow sizing.

Large is 40 - 42 inches on the chest . I used 40 and it was fit for him, I really don't know what happened

The tutorial even includes measurements, and says to use and actual shirt for measures /sizing. Seems unfair to blame the tutorial.
