For those who like, instead of beads you can use tiny bells so they chime when they spin.

I made some of these?last year. One was red white and blue for the 4th. This year I noticed the red turned orange from being in the sun....still cute tho. I also used a fishing spinner thingy so it actually spins with the wind and not just blow
@kmoss291726 күн бұрын
Ooh what is a fishing spinner? And how would I use this please
@SallyJ200025 күн бұрын
@@kmoss2917 its a thingy that attaches to the end of the hook somewhere so the line spins giving you a better chance of catching a fish. I think...lol. Not a fisher her but i found it in the fishing section. My spinners would only fly in the wind. Now they actually spin. One is attached to my lilac bush.

@DianeMootz14 күн бұрын
Would you please post a photo of how you attached it to the spinner? Thanks
@SallyJ200014 күн бұрын
@@DianeMootz i just used regular sewing thread with lots of stitching thru the part attached to the spinner right at the top. Then I attach yarn on top for the actual loop. I did learn one thing...I put mine outside and the spinner rusted. I also read the warning on the pkg...it could expose us to lead and DINP which can cause cancer so they would have to be outside where kids cant play with them. Maybe I will just create more without the spinners cause when it starts to rust it wont spin anymore. I was took a look at mine 2 days ago when I moved it to another part of the garden and discovered whey werent actually spinning but just nlowing in the wind

Thank you for the best wind spinner tutorial! I love your method, because it’s nice to be able to turn your work. Other tutorials I’ve seen they only crochet in one direction. But it works your way, and I also love your edging stitch, the slip stitch ch 1 is so much easier than crab stitch! I’ve made a couple of these already, and plan to make at least 50 more. It really does work best with cotton and poly blend yarn. I don’t have that lovely Joplin yarn you are using, but my Hobbii Metallico worked just as well! Love, love, love this! ❤😊
