Hi Sherrill! Do you have to use cotton fabric or can you use polyester? I see some other tutorials saying that it can be dangerous to use polyester as it could melt to your skin. I'm thinking it would probably be ok as I've purchased polyester oven mitts before. What do you think?

Hi Ja. I would not use polyester because it does not due well when touching something very hot. When making oven mitts or pot holder it is recommended that you use 1 layer cotton batting along with 1 layer of Insul-Bright. The Insul-Bright helps to block the heat. Hope this helps.
