EASY DEFORUM TUTORIAL : Deforum on Free Google Colab for Animated Videos using Init Image 2024

Simple step-by-step instructions for DEFORUM on GOOGLE COLAB (free cloud-based GPU) online for free AI video creation (text-to-animation using Stable Diffusion to create movie clips) without any complicated download/installation or need for a powerful computer. If u need to start over. Dont exit. Just go back to prompt, make changes, then press play to re run the code. Also if needed change other settings and also run the code for those section so changes are saved. So this way can create several videos in one session.

This is a great tutorial, but the file was saved in a format that can't be played. What did I do wrong?

Not sure why but I thought of these two things: 1. Try right clicking and rename the file to "whatever.mp4" to make sure name syntax error is not the reason why file does not play. 2. It usually saves in .mp4 or .gif format for me. So next time make sure before you run the code in the "Create videos from frames" section, unselect "create_gif" option so it creates a movie not gif. Other than that I am not sure what happened. Sometimes the actually mp4 files is hidden in the folder with all the raw .jpg frames so it takes some digging around to find the actually movie file in you Google Drive.

if your first image gens fine but the rest seem to be dark/unconsistant try setting it to 3D instead of 2D

@@Quetzasonni oh ok. You are looking for whats called “hybrid video” option in Deforum. It is more complicated, output is not worth all the trouble. I personally have not used it but others have so search for “deforum hybrid video on colab” and i am sure u will find some videos from 2023 or older
