Thank you so much! I’ve been looking for a no nonsense apron pattern for 6 years and just gave up! This seems so easy! I love the home dec fabric! Thank you so much!

I have made this apron when I worked in the garment industry to protect my clothes. Mine was made from denim scraps and I used a cotton rope for the tie. Thanks for reminding me of how simple the project is to make.

Your utensils? Lol

The recipe that you wrote in a paper, or you can use them to have some cloth napkins, very handy to clean the mess while you are cooking.

@@Rascott03 I have yet to meet anyone that puts dirty utensils in their apron pocket. No thank you.
@manestage54033 жыл бұрын
I use it for the things I know I'll need ahead of time: utensils, a bar mop towel, maybe a recipe, etc. Anything that will keep you from having to stop and pause from cooking to grab it out of a drawer or something. No, the utensils are not dirty. They're in my pocket before I start cooking. Again, anything to limit the pausing, reaching, and grabbing.

Personally, I don’t either. Occasionally I’ll throw some peppers or something I grab from my garden in there to wash when I go back inside. A little harvest pocket.

Mrs. Mimi I think you should work with Simplicity and come out with some kitchen essential patterns for us to make. Especially a chef jacket pattern, if you could. I have always wanted a Pink or a black & white striped one. Wouldn't that be Fabulous!!! 🤔👏🙋

This was super easy and thank for from a beginner because you went through everything and listed it out specifically what to do. But I really enjoy and appreciate your step by step you do make sewing and learning very easy.... And that to me is a A++++++++ it being that I like to teach people in a dummy down format so absolutely anyone can pick up and learn and do without questions because the explanation was so precise.... and that you do well and again thank you and appreciate you taking out your time to so... and love your work space awesome....keep up the amazing work it is not over looked seriously.

@kathleenchamp3764 Жыл бұрын
Hey Mimi, quick question please.. do you think these measurements are good for an average size guy. I'm making this for a gift. Surprise 😁 so I can't get any measurements. But I'd hate to have spent so much on a special print cotton/canvas ( not heavy, shew!) And get it all done to find its just not happening for him. Lol granddaughters bf ,only 21, an aspiring chef.. thought a perfect gift. Any thoughts I'd appreciate it. I'd say he's an XL/XXL he's not a heavy guy but not tiny thin either.. if that helps🤦♀️🤣 thank you!! Ps I'm planning on oven mit to go with.. Hong you've gotten your upload for that done .. so tired of channel surfing. And again don't want to waste the fabric. The long style with place for have at each end.. shouldn't he a difficult make without pattern.. but using the insulbright I got from Joann.. not sore which side goes which way. I imagine metalic goes away from hands to keep great away not no directions when you purch yardage 🙄🤔

You can't send photos on KZbin. You've have to send it to her email or share with a #on a site Mimi is on that shows it. Say for instance INSTAGRAM. There are links in the drop down box under video( above comment section) where You can follow Mimi. How that helps to i realize this was mentioned a cpl years ago. Sleep no one bothered to reply to you then. ( not sure why Mimi doesn't/ didn't put hasn't had someone else check in out it for her. I realize she's busy but tutorials are a dialog at times. Students will inevitably have questions new and then. 😉

Just a lil FYI that can happen accidently! I NEVER EVER got thumbs down. Can't say something nice well... and there have been times in back at a video I hit thumbs-up on and all be darn is a down. Not sure if it's youtube or button was sensitive that day or i just want Careful enough. We can't judge. And if for some reason someone did hit it on purpose Mimi still gets youtube credit for the view. Lol some unkind / unhappy folks doesn't realize they don't count ups versus downs a hit it a hit.
