Your stairs turned out beautiful. Hope no one falls on them, but if you don’t have elderly folks using them, you shouldn’t have to worry about it. I know I learned to keep shoes on and not walk around in my socks after my hip replacement.

I really want to do our stairs because the carpet is falling apart but don’t have the budget for a professional. I decided I couldn’t do it because I won’t use a saw but your video showed me I might be able to just redo what is already there! Thanks for being creative and keeping it simpler. My townhome’s only five years old so it should be ok. I’m still working up the nerve but maybe buying a nail gun, stapler, sander, pry bar, shop vac, and some gloves will give me some confidence. The stairs have two large landings so maybe I’ll just do the downstairs up to the first landing and pause for awhile. Baby steps (pun unintended haha). You did such a great job!

WOW what a difference. You definitely put in the sweat equity. So lucky the stair case was sprayed instead of painted. Absolutely love the end results beautiful ❤️❤️💕💕

Because pine is a soft wood and not used for stained hardwood stairs. Stained stairs are made with hardwoods like Oak.
