For those of you worrying about the fabric fraying. My mum always lined her works with a very thin layer of clear nail polish. Not thick mind you, a thin layer. Hope that helps ❤

Thanks for showing this! I have been trying to figure how to make a bookmark! I don’t have a sewing machine, but could I use a different fabric for the back and still do the blanket stitch?

You can do the blanket stitch with a different fabric for the back by hand sewing. As shown in the video, I used Aida fabric for the outer fabric and felt for the back😊

@@user-ud2vr7wq3o This method will prevent the edges from fraying, but the corners may fray a bit. If you want to make it less fraying, you can apply fray check along the edge lines after blanket sketching. Thanks😀

IDK if you're still wondering, but I think felt or a different heaver/thicker fabric works best. A light/thin fabric wouldn't be strong enough. But I'm just thinking IDK for sure.
