I agree! I'd LOVE to see more diys like this. So easy (but not cheesy lol) and cost effective. The best part, for me, is no power tools. I understand needing to use a drill, but I'm not into using saws and stuff. Lol I have some, they are just intimidating is all.

Back in the early 70's, my aunt and uncle were young newlyweds w/o much money. They DIY'd most of their Living room and dining room furniture. Their couch was made w/ orange crates and a wooden door painted and stained as your bench! My aunt was a gifted seamstress and she made beautiful cushions and pillows for the couch and floor pillows to sit on. The coffee table was very much like your bench! The dinig Table was a modified cable spool, w/ metal 5 gallon paint cans with cushions attatched to match. Being a young teenager, I thought it very cool and funky, but elegant too!

The finished and non-DIY look that the rounded edge of the Stair Treads give is what takes this bench up a notch. 👌👌 Thank you for the idea, i wouldn't have thought of using a stair tread and might have gone with a regular wood piece with square sides.

Thank you for this great idea! I do enjoy your Dollar Tree DIYs (no doubt) but because 1. Not all stores have the same supplies available and 2. The sturdiness of Dollar Tree DIYs are often short lived, seeing DIYs using sturdier supplies that can be found at any hardware store are much appreciated!!! Thanks so much!!! I’d love to see any other types of DIYs in the boho or MCM interior design style. I think some modern farmhouse often fits in well with boho and MCM with a few tweaks. Much appreciated!!!

Please do more of each of the examples you suggested another one might be a plant shelving unit maybe putting some type of sealer so if it happened to get wet. But side tables and the other ideas sure all of us would love learning how you would do them.

Love this. Make more like this. I had the same issue with staining pine so sanded it all off and torched the wood and put clear varnish on it. My hairpin leg bench ended up looking really good.

Love these videos more than Boho crafts. I used one of these crates on its side on a Home Depot little stool my son made in one of their kid workshops many years ago. It’s in a tropical beach theme room & works great! Can use Michaels coupons on crates too if not a special buy item. I just white paint washed it. It Looks great!

Love this project! The only thing I would do differently, would be to stain and or paint each piece separately before attaching. When your old, lol, you just have to handle things differently. Great project and something that I actually need. 🙂👍
