@MattBerryCustom5 жыл бұрын
Anastasia! Lovely to hear from you! Thank you for your very kind comments, we are bouncing back after a very difficult year. Everyone loves the table and as for the wooden plugs, yes it’s a really great tool! I did a quick demo on the video and took the plug from a random piece of scrap, if you can take the plug from the reverse side of the section you are drilling you can often get the identical grain pattern. With hindsight I should have used the darker coloured titebond as well. Thanks again for watching, I’ll be in touch soon!

Excellent video. Thanks for uploading. I'll be making an 8 person table this week with a herringbone pattern, I had planned on using a ply sheet to support the timber but this method is so much quicker and just as effective.

Thank you Sir, I really appreciate the feedback. The table has been in use for over a month now, I don’t mention it at all to visitors but they are instantly drawn to it, say over and over it’s beautiful and immediately sit down at it, I see that as a compliment! I’ve had two commissions for one from house guests alone! With honest hindsight I would suggest two 45degree braces from the bottom cross bar to the upper part of the table leg frame. There is no wobble at all at the moment but I think it future proofs it a bit and carries on the chevron vibe when you look at it from the side. Anyway I’d love to see your results and here if you have any question. Many thanks again!
