Two years later, how is it holding up? Especially the sliding gate.

That is friggin’ awesome! We don’t have a bunch of money the buy those expensive system’s either. I’ve been looking for ways to make my own and this is the best idea I’ve found. I’ve been trimming, medicating, spraying, etc. the hard way. Corner and grab. I have sheep and Ram’s don’t take too kindly to being cornered and grabbed.

Awesome job! Only suggestion when you use 2x lumber as a joist (the crossways support under the ramp and platform, starting 4:50 in the video) flip them so the 2" section is facing the sky and ground (like you have the back one) it will be much stiffer that way, the hanger will be going to right way to provide maximum support and it's considered best practice in carpentry in case you didn't know :) Definitely going to steal this idea tho when I get my goats!

Looks great and who can afford one of those expensive systems? Anything you show is helpful for others, even preventing us from making the same mistakes. Good luck and God bless

Nice work ! I need to build a pen similar for my sheep when I sell lambs. Buggers are hard to catch in the pasture.

I think you should patent this design. I am interested in buying your drawings, for an affordable fee.

I made one similar to yours out of free wooden pallets and got a free manual head gate off of craigslist. All i had to do was take it down. Nice job.

I just happened across you video. It looks like you and your sons did a great job on the chute. Like another viewer, I would like to see the chute in action. I thought I was the only one that carried while out on the ranch. I'm curious to know why you carry? I've subscribed to your channel and look forward to viewing future videos from you. One more question, where are y'all from?
@rollingreedranch63952 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for stopping by… hope you subscribed 😁… and I carry because there’s quite a few stray dogs and some lone coyotes I’ve caught on my trail cams… don’t like being without it if I’m working away from house… also can’t see driveway if I’m in backyard wiring don’t want to be surprised by anyone or anything… Will be posting video soon of working goats in chute… thanks again for stopping by and showing some love… subscribe and like

We also carry when working on our property. For stray dogs, uninvited visitors, coyotes, bears and snakes
