Yes you can use a card stock or a sturdy chart paper or mount board

Very beautiful. The fevicryl acrylic color I felt is very thin to make dots, do u add any medium to it to make it thick?

I have used fevicryl acrylic colors..salmon pink, few other shades of dark and light pink bt fevicryl and gold
