Easy and super cute! I made medium lined bags for 7 of my grandkids and two of my daughter-in-laws for Bombas socks. And attached embroidered Christmas tags. Looked so cute under the tree and everyone liked to have a bag to take home, even the boys.

are you cutting out stitches for ties directly in the two seams? do you go back and restitch once ties are in?

Do you have a lined bag tutorial for a wine bag? Love these BTW. Could not wrap my mind around picking the edge for the channel. ✌️

Not yet! But we have been wanting to do one for a bit. Maybe we'll add it to the list for next month!

Awesome tutorial! You made it so simple! If you wanted to sew a handle on the bag too, would you sew it to the outside right before you sew the liner on? Also, I am going to use them as knitting project bags lol.

Thank you, Hailey! You could definitely have handles. That would be an adorable variation. On what would be the top, you would just need to match up the raw edges of the outer piece, lining, and handle pieces (placing the loop of the handle towards the inside center)- evenly spacing your handles. Make sure the handles are in between the outer fabric and lining. Sew the 1/4 inch seam allowance as you normally would, making sure to leave the opening in order to turn it right side out. When you turn it right side out, it would look nice and neat and have cute handles. Great idea!!

I didn’t quite hear the name of the clamp you used to pull the ribbon through the holes.

You could have made two small buttonholes on the outer bag instead before you joined the lining to the bag.

Silly question, but what are the bumps on your little owl pincushion for?
@SewingPartsOnline3 жыл бұрын
Not a silly question at all. They hold bobbins. :)

Did you close the opening on the small bag or it stays open?

Stays open. :)

What are the measurements for the large bag?
@SewingPartsOnline3 жыл бұрын
They're noted in the description of this video, but they're: LARGE LINED DRAWSTRING BAG FABRIC: Outer Fabric: Cut 2: 10 1/2 x 12 inches Lining Fabric: Cut 2- 10 1/2 x 12 inches TWILL TAPE: 65 inches (provides several extra inches)

Do the picked stitches to open the channel not continue to unravel?
@SewingPartsOnline2 жыл бұрын
Nopers. Just make sure that you don't pick through your seams- just up to. 😊

Does the fabric fold inside of the ribbon channel not fray after repeated use? Oh, or because they're serged before hand...aha. @@SewingPartsOnline
