This was a very good video explanation of how to build one of these envelope journals. I was looking for some to show to my niece and this was so clear that I will definitely show her this one. About it getting to bulky; the first 2 envelopes you glued together you butted them against each other at the seams; if you leave them slight apart like 1/4 of an inch, it gives room the journal to expand/bulk up. TFS

These would be so great for a Christmas planner! The pockets would be great places to store your receipts too.

What a brilliant project! I can’t wait to give this a go. It would make a beautiful keepsake gift for family or friends by tucking in photos and memorabilia from events or days out together tfs 👍

Have you mailed a finished one of these and know the US postal cost in US?
@thejanettelane4 жыл бұрын
Hi! I mailed something similar and it was £6. Roughly $9? Without signature guarantee which would've been extra.

Love love love this, but I'm a little confused. I literally paused the video as you glued these together and copied you. When you flip through after gluing them and then again at the end of the video when you are done, they don't seem to be the same envelopes or not in order from the way it looks from beginning.
@thejanettelane6 жыл бұрын
paperlover queen Hi! Thanks for the comment! When I did the flip through at the end, the extended panel was folded differently.. So it wasnt folded over into itself , it was folded under and it made it look like it was another page. I hope that makes sense.. Im sure it doesn’t lol But when I film the second part of this video (where I’ll decorate the pages, I’ll make sure to point that out) It’s the same envelopes but just the pages closed differently:)
