*Easy Fondant Bow Tutorial

I just saw this video and you blew my mind. OMG! The simplicity you showed making this bow. Due to a bad shoulder replacement that left my right hand 75% disabled, I have been having a hard time making bows. I can make them out of fabric ribbon with a bow maker. But I am a crafter that makes fake cakes. So I have been wanting to learn. Of course I can easily buy a bow mold, but one of those people who challenge themselves regardless the obstacle. Hi, great little video. How long do you let your fondant bow set until it gets hard or firm?

Hello! Thank you, I let my bow sit out for a couple of days. You could add some cmc powder to the fondant for added strength and put it in the oven with the light ONLY on for a couple hours, and it'll firm up faster. Modeling chocolate is another option.

You may need to add a bit of vegetable shortening to your fondant or it may be the fondant you're using. Many factors could be the reason. I use LMF "Liz Marek fondant". You could always try it with modeling chocolate also.
