When I saw you putting cinnamon on the apples and oranges I thought what a great idea. Then I saw the brown fruit I was disappointed. I make it for the pretty fruit. I also put it in bags from Bath and Bodyworks. I use different ribbon.

These are awesome!! Planning my trip to HL and the DT right now! Another idea is a hot chocolate mason jar with mini marshmallows in a basket with a couple of holiday mugs and some white and dark chocolate dipped and sprinkle coated spoons. You can also add a couple of candy cane sticks for stirrers or some cinnamon sticks for a Mexican hot chocolate mix!

At one time I had a whole book of these and love them. Your gifting ideas are amazing. I had one thought about the beer bread and that is to use a loaf pan. Some may be less likely to have one than a bowl to mix.

Something that I’ve done when I made jar gifts is to mix all of the ingredients in a bowl, then scoop into jars. It makes it easier, especially when making multiple of same kinds of jars.

Oh, my! I love each of these ideas. I could not get to Dollar Tree fast enough! I found everything, even light up ornaments. As we do not have a Hobby Lobby, I found the quart mason jars at Dollar General. I followed up with a trip to the grocery store to get ingredients for each mason jar you showcased. I am thrilled to share these with neighbors, friends, daughter’s in law and more. It feels so much better to give something that one has taken the time to create rather than a store bought trinket! The best jars for gifting are at Dollar General. I got a jar with a butterfly embossed in the glass on the front with a rose gold top $1!! Got a fall one with an embossed pumpkin on front, $1!! Picked up the cutest ones for Christmas with embossed fronts and decorative tops. They are adorable. They are huge but they are so cute!!

I make these also, but I use a dehydrator. The oranges look orange and the apples stay fairly white. when they are dried they won't turn brown for a few months, and hopefully it will be used before then!

Absolutely love these ideas. Quick question - I did make a batch of the cookies up to see how they were and with the 1/2 stick of butter and 1 egg it was too crumbly to make into cookies. I added another egg and it became more of a cookie dough consistency. They are baking now so i am keeping my fingers crossed! I just wanted to confirm that the recipe was correct before I give them out.
