Easy Glittery Christmas Tree Tags

I always enjoy making tags for my Christmas gifts each year-I put on some holiday music, grab a cup of coffee, and go to town crafting up coordinating trimmings for the gifts. I'm using products from Simon Says Stamp to make these festive tags.

Cool tags, Nina! If you want the glitter more "set" or sealed so it really won't rub off, you can always mix it into clear gel medium. (I'm not sure I'd recommend a paste, as it might not allow the glitter to disperse as easily as gel.) Then just spread it over your project. I would recommend a heavy or even extra-heavy clear gloss gel medium for such a technique. You can even add dye/Distress ink by smooshing your pad onto a non-stick surface or adding a few drops of reinker to the gel for a colored glitter gel. I've done that before, it works great, & is a bit less messy than sprinkling loose glitter onto wet paste or glue. I use either Liquitex or Golden brand gel mediums - they both work great, & I can get them at Michael's. I think JoAnn sells at least Liquitex brand products as well. Any art supply store or website would work as well, of course. Anyway, just thought I'd share. Thank you for showing your technique & projects.
