Here are the steps to make a garden furniture set:
Step 1: Measure and cut the wood pieces to your desired dimensions. Typically, the chair's height is around 45-50cm, width is 40-50cm, and depth is 35-40cm. The table can have a height of 70-75cm, and the width and depth can be customized as per your preference.
Step 2: Use a drill to create holes in the wood pieces. These holes will be used to fasten the wooden pieces together using bolts and screws. Ensure that the holes are placed appropriately on the wood pieces.
Step 3: Use pliers or sandpaper to smooth the edges of the wood pieces and remove any unwanted scratches.
Step 4: Next, use wood glue to attach the chair pieces together. Apply glue on the contact surfaces, then assemble the wood pieces and position them as desired. Allow the glue to dry completely according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Step 5: Once the glue has dried, use bolts and screws to secure the wood pieces together. Make sure they are tightened securely.
Step 6: Check that the joints are firmly fixed. If necessary, adjust and tighten the bolts and screws.
Step 7: Paint the surface of the wood pieces with weather-resistant paint. You can choose any color that suits your garden space. Ensure that you apply paint on both the top and bottom surfaces of all the wood pieces to protect them from weather conditions.
Step 8: Allow the paint to dry completely as per the paint manufacturer's instructions, then recheck all the joints to ensure that the furniture set is fully finished and safe.
