Probably my favorite Halloween nails of all tutorials I have seen. Very clean looking and the gold looks awesome swirled in!

I LOVE this - added to my favs for next Halloween. I like the "Tim Burton" effect of the swirled black/gold/orange on the nails - too spooky! Love your videos.

I dont think water marble is a waste of polish, but I always dip my whole hand at a time so. And either way, I think it's worth it. Haha :) nice video

Try using a dehydrator before you apply your base coat, like OPI chip skip :)
@jandr08290810 жыл бұрын
Love this design!! I did these today! But instead of using the orange in my water marble I painted it as my base color and used a clear back and silver polish for my water marble. By using the clear you can see the orange underneath :) Wish you had a instagram so I could tag you! But will still give you credit! Thank you!! :)

Forgot you weren't on Facebook any longer and wanted to share a new polish I purchased from Sephora. It's called Chaotic and I have a picture where you could see where I applied this awesome black and white glitter over neon and other bright colored polishes. Would love to see if you can purchase something like this and review it on your channel . But I don't tweet or instagram so how do I get you the picture of my nail swatches? Help please!! Rose

@myrnaibrahim940610 жыл бұрын
What nail polishes do you have to use for water marble cause this is the first time of hearing about it and I want to test it out :D
@ArcadiaNailArt10 жыл бұрын
Myrna Ibrahim It's trial and error, I always recommend China Glaze cause most of them work well, and also Color Club, but you just need to test out polishes by dropping them in room temperature water and seeing which spread out well. Thin polishes without glitter are the best :)
@myrnaibrahim940610 жыл бұрын
ArcadiaNailArt o.o i don't know much bout this

did you use two different types of oranges? one for the water marble and the other for your nail base color?
@ArcadiaNailArt9 жыл бұрын
+ever greatest Oh god it's ages ago lol, but I'm pretty sure I used the same for both as it was China Glaze which is great for marbelling :)

Do you have to use specific kinds of nail varnish, because whenever I try water marbling the varnish doesn't disperse, and my friend said it always fails when she tries too.
@ArcadiaNailArt10 жыл бұрын
girlytalk64 Thin creme polishes work best, like China Glaze and Color Club. Always use room temp water, either filtered or bottled, and touch the water with the brush, don't drop from a height :)

do you use a base colour under the water marble?

Yep, always. It's a very thin layer and needs the base underneath. :)

is that scotch tape you put on your fingers to prevent the nail polish from sticking to your skin?
@ArcadiaNailArt10 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Hudacek I tend to use Invisible Tape as it's more flexible, but you can use regular tape too :)
@annchap110 жыл бұрын
Thanks
@annchap110 жыл бұрын
ArcadiaNailArt I did it and it came out great! thanks!
@TheNeveFringe10 жыл бұрын
you can use petroleum jelly/ Vaseline too :)
@ArcadiaNailArt10 жыл бұрын
TheNeveFringe I haven't tried it as I've always worried it would leave residue in the water that will effect the next drops of polish :/ Have you had that problem?
@Lydiaelkobi10 жыл бұрын
in Instagram I saw water marble video and she use some kind of nail polish that you put around the nail instead of the tape, and when you remove it and the finger stays clean!! do you have any idea what is it?
@ArcadiaNailArt10 жыл бұрын
Lidya Elkoby It may be OPI Glitter Off base coat, or a DIY Elmer's glue basecoat. If you use them round the cuticles then it peels off afterwards :)
@Lydiaelkobi10 жыл бұрын
ArcadiaNailArt Tnx :))))
@christinaleister13879 жыл бұрын
Probably Elmer's Glue or liquid latex
@allstargirls94629 жыл бұрын
Can you use normal nail polish
@ArcadiaNailArt9 жыл бұрын
+Allstar Girls Yep, but you need to test them out to see if they will marble well. It's hit and miss, but most of the time China Glaze works well (which is what I used here)
@ArcadiaNailArt12 жыл бұрын
@Simby200 It doesn't look good next to my pale skin in real life, it's nicer on camera :-)
@Geiil10012 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's a waist of polish O.o you take one or two drops from one color... I have only a problem with the nailpolishes, I don't have anyone that works with watermarble... I'd try it... and the china glaze are very expensive... sorry for bad english!!

I don't think it is a waste because if you think about it you are only putting a drop
@ArcadiaNailArt10 жыл бұрын
Lauren Wood Yep, but I always get the 'it's such a waste of polish' comments on water marble videos lol. However with most water marbles on KZbin people seem to use a dozen drops per nail...I can't bear to use that much!
@sleepoverprocoolcat11 жыл бұрын
to hard for me :(
@Amika1290810 жыл бұрын
no matter how hard I try I can never make water marble work ;/
@ArcadiaNailArt10 жыл бұрын
Reina :( Try room temperature water, either bottled or filtered. Start experimenting with different polishes, holding them very close to the surface of the water so that they don't have to fall far. If one polish seems to dry real quick, ditch it and try another. It's all about trial and error but hopefully you'll get there :)
@krystalr620610 жыл бұрын
Experiment with different brands of nail polish. Some spread in the water better than others. It took me forever to get this right. I thought it was super easy because the tutorials make it look that way. It does take some time to get it the way you want it. Just have fun with it.
