And I'm pretty sure that if I'm getting a clear picture of what kind of a bread eater Heather is... deep down inside, she'd be SOOO proud of you and HER bread!😉 so... from here on out... bake wonderful bread from Heathers recipes/videos, hold your head up high, let the butter drip & shout: HI! MY NAME IS LEISA MARIE & I'M LOOKING FOR A "HOMEBAKED BREAD" JUNKIE TO START A 12 STEP PROGRAM WITH ME!! 🤣 😂 (If you find one or start one, could ya please let me know? I made my bread! A day later than planned, but that is for a GOOD reason. I came across some clearance organic vegetables for 19 cents a pound, and since they were slightly past the optimum quality, I canned them the same day. Almost 15 pounds! So Saturday I made the bread. It looks beautiful but took about 6-1/2 cups of flour to get to the right dough consistency. I think that is why instead of chewy Italian bread I got a bread that is like a heavy white bread. Excellent for toast. Good hearty white bread. But not the chewy, crusty bread I had hoped for.

I can’t tell you how easy this was and heart warming it was to follow this recipe right along side you. It came together so perfectly. And I figured it out, I wasn’t allowing my yeast to proof because it wasn’t “instant” lol. By golly, if you follow directions, it actually works. 🤦🏻♀️🤣 I took pictures of the process, (had to stop the video each time), and I’ve got to say; you may not be be a “professional” bread maker, but when it comes to homestead baking, your the BEST! That’s better than professional! When you can teach others and it’s a success, well....this makes the world go round. I will be teaching my daughters and grand children how to make bread. Hi Heather! So I started watching your videos when I saw your video about the accident. It started with watch, like, comment and subscribed, But then I figured ... go the full distance ... make some bread with Heather .. So today you kept me company while I made this loaf ... it was easy, I had to knead by hand but had a helper, it looks amazing, but my seam separated so it's not the most beautiful loaf, but it is beautiful to me. It is cooling now .... then we will have sliced with butter and maybe bacon sandwiches. So thank you Heather for all the effort you put into these videos and teaching us how to do things .... this loaf was made with you in my heart ... I'm sure it's going to be the best tasting bread ... oh and I remembered to get corn meal and put that on the parchment before I put the dough on it. I hope you are having a great day, and I hope that you have a smile on your face knowing that you make a difference to people ... tonight we have fresh baked bread in honor of Matt and with love for you Heather and Team Conn. xoxoxoxo

I am so excited!!!!!!! I watched your video on bread baking for beginners, five times, then I tried the Italian bread that you made. I followed your directions to the T. However, I added Four cups of bread flour, to start with. I let it mix on 2level, for awhile. I occasionally checked the dough for stickiness, like you said. I ended up having to add two more cups of flour, a tablespoon, at a time. Letting it mix enough, and then kneading for Five minutes. The dough was, as you said, like soft play dough. I never felt such beautiful dough. I baked it for 25 minutes. It came out fantastic, with a very nice crumb. I can't thank you enough for your GREAT DIRECTIONS. Thx u, thx u, thx u.

I love how she is so deliberate and careful and patient. Somehow, watching her soothes my soul. I am joining you all in supporting her by watching everything as much as possible, including all the ads- Since this is one of the important ways that she makes money on KZbin.
