Loved your bars!! My favorite snacks are: 1) dates stuffed with almond butter and roasted almonds dipped in melted chocolate, sprinkled with flake salt and put in the freezer and 2) Full fat yogurt with honey and pb. Freeze with chopped peanuts sprinkled on top and popsicle sticks inserted to give yourself a delicious yogurt frozen treat. You can drizzle melted chocolate on top. Sooooo yum!!!

this is more of a treat than an everyday snack, but we love your no-knead chocolate sourdough bread recipe.

I forgot about that bread! I’ll have to make it again. So yummy!

I love your granola recipe. I can't wait to try it. We love making yogurt and cottage cheese and my kids occasionally wax nostalgic over days of cereal gone by. 😅

That was why I started making granola a while ago. I wanted a bowl of cereal, but healthy!

Homemade bread with butter and honey, some reheated soup from the fridge, veggies. Ice cream made from schmand and berry purree on a stick.

I love your approach to healthy foods. I am older, almost 70 now. but my husband and I are wanting to improve our health and I am doing much more from scratch cooking. I love granola, but my husband is allergic to oats. Do you have any ideas on a different grain to use in granola?
@kfitz192Ай бұрын
Quinoa flakes or puffed brown rice cereal could be substituted. Also do a search for oatmeal free granola and you'll get lots of good ideas.

It's never too late to improve your health! Good for you guys. I'm a lover of oats, so unfortunately, I have no experience using substitutes, but the suggestions given by the other viewer sound great!

I don’t eat snacks. Just 3 highly satiating meals. But my kids eat skyr w/fruit and nuts, cheese, jerky. Basically any blend of protein, dairy, and sometimes seeds/nuts. I no longer buy factory made food (and my 14 year old hates me for it 😅).
@thehomeintentАй бұрын
Great options. I’m sure mine will hate it too at some point, but I’m hopeful they’ll be thankful in the end!!

I am with you on the crazy time sucking snacks like goldfish. Not my jam. However, my son lives in New Brunswick and I live in Ontario, and when I am feeling mommish I will make a pile of granola, some cookies, and a nut mix and I will send it to him in the mail. He loves it❤. Your granola bars look delicious. I need them in my life. Did you know you can freeze hummus? I have been freezing it for years in small containers just for me😊
@thehomeintentАй бұрын
That is a lovely thing to do for your son! I have never tried to freeze hummus, but I’m definitely going to try it! I’m all about making large batches and freezing for later. Thanks!

Thank you for this video. Your channel is new to me. Please let me know where you find your chocolate chips and coconut that you used in the video. I’m in a different season (recently hit menopause and am trying to make everything from scratch using the healthiest ingredients. ❤

Thank you! I'm in Canada and get my chocolate chips from Real Canadian Superstore, its one of their store brands called Presidents Choice. I get the unsweetened coconut flakes from Costco. I have seen a few brands of 70% chocolate chips online though, so I'm sure you can find them or order them to where you are! Good luck and good for you making changes for health!

Azure Standard does have good quality, clean cranberries. Unsure how far you are from a drop point but just a quick note in case it works. Thanks for sharing your granola recipe!

Can you buy 1/2 gal jars to put your flour, cocnut, etc, in the USA? The lady preppers use these for their food.

Yeah, they are available on Amazon.ca and I’m sure I could get some second hand. I’ll keep my eyes open! I do want to switch to glass where possible.

Can you share why you choose not to eat nuts often?
@thehomeintentАй бұрын
We just don't like them that much! I like that they are quite nutrient dense, so that's why I include them in things like granola and granola bars, but I'd just rather eat so many other things for a snack than plain nuts.
@katieorr6887Ай бұрын
Whenever I use coconut oil in my granola recipe, it always ends up tasting like burnt coconut, maybe following your recipe won't make it taste like that 🤞🏻
@thehomeintentАй бұрын
Hopefully! I wonder if you just need to stir the granola more often during baking? That’s my first thought.

Hummus spread is middle eastern has nothing to do with Moroccan cuisine or Moroccan flavours !! Do you know that Morocco is in North Africa and the middle east is in Asia ?!!
@thehomeintent24 күн бұрын
Yes, the meat includes Moroccan flavors: cinnamon, coriander, cumin, allspice. It goes so well with the hummus!
