Well that was my first distillation lesson. When I understand it better. I am sure I will be investing in my own micro still. Did you ever see that Russell Crow movie when he makes alcohol out of prickly pear cactus. Love it!

I think if you are doing a neutral you do stripping run in pot still mode coz its quicker then spirit run in reflux. But awesome video. i've just purchased the pro. waiting for my wash to ferment then will run it next week. I got impatient and ran wine through it but wasn't the best idea haha

I'm leaning towards that myself. The one cool thing about reflex mode. It will turn off all on its own which is convenient.

Hey.. has anyone from atf or any fed agency ever reach out to you?? I’m so confused! I’m a home brewer and have recently seen an explosion of distilling kits at my local brewery supplier, pics, videos, etc of ppl home distilling. Did I miss a new law being passed? Home distilling has been federally illegal for a long time and as far as I’ve ever known and can find on line it’s illegal just to own still equipment in my state. Is it just the government doesn’t care? Do you have a federal license? So many questions. Like if it’s just they don’t care and kinda ignoring it why would you opening broadcast to the world? Sry I’m ranting lol would love any information you have

If I was actually distilling, I would be breaking the law. But I'm not! It's all KZbin, magic, smoke and mirrors all for fun. The loss on the books are extremely old. They mainly focus on tax revenue.

I think a lot of them in more restrictive regimes are sold as kit for making ‘herbal essences’, that they could be used for making spirits is between you, your conscience and some angry law enforcement agents! In many European countries (I’m in the UK) as long as it’s for personal consumption it’s fine to distil.
