If you've never tried improv curves, I'll show you my tips on how to align your fabrics to cut them and how to pin the curves for easy sewing. This easy table runner pattern is completely adjustable so you can achieve the length you need for your table.

Hi! I am such a fan of your videos. I really enjoy your tutorials and tips. I also got the quilty box for July, my first tula pink fabric! I'm a newbie to quilting so i am super scared to cut the fabric. I am not sure what to make with it yet! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was looking for a good improv curb tutorial. I think i may do a bed runner with blues using your pattern. Thank you so much. I have a quick question... where did you get your pin holder? i have been looking for one where the pins do not lump up in the center and couldn't help noticing yours. Thanks again!
@TinyOrchardQuilts
@TinyOrchardQuilts 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoy them--I always try to make them as valuable to everyone as possible :) A bed runner would be lovely! My pin holder is called a "zirkle" and its awesome--there is a strong magnet in there and it will help orient your pin so the head is always out. (well, almost always!). I have a link to it and lots of other things people ask about on my amazon page here: www.amazon.com/shop/tinyorchardquilts

It seems to me if you also sewed the “excess scraps” in the same manner they could be used as well will there being no waste.
@TinyOrchardQuilts
@TinyOrchardQuilts 4 жыл бұрын
You certainly could! I was trying to keep them as skimpy as possible so there was as little waste as possible. I suppose if you overlapped them further, it would give the scraps more room to be sewing together again.

It seems like it would but it doesn’t. The pieces need to be shaped correctly to fit together and lie flat.
