I just finished putting my cover together last night and now it's time to decorate it! I'll definitely be making a few more of these. Thanks for sharing your version, and thanks also to Natasha for the awesome idea.

Thanks for sharing your version of this journal. I really enjoy making these, I add a strip of fabric to the spine and sew the signature right into the spine. I’ll check out this paper pack, double sided paper is more difficult to find these days.Kenny G has been around for a long time! It’s very special when your kid invites you out!

Hi there! This is the first time I've watched your channel. I love how easy thise journals are! I'm doing Luise Heinzel's Envelope Notebooks for Christmas. Right now I'm fussy cutting butterflies & bees to go on clusters that I'm putting in each one. Then I will just have fabric flips to do, & decide how I want to tell people what they are & sign them!! I'm hoping for THIS Christmas, but it's getting awfully tight!!

My first time here! Exactly what I wanted to make! So I made it right along with you! I enjoy the calmness as you worked and I’ve subbed and belled you 😊 I really appreciate the decorating part, well, actually the folding and gluing of the cover was what I had to work on so the decor so were like dessert 🧁😜after all the learning part. I will say that as a newbie (still a newb after 6 months of effort!) I would have loved to see any struggles you dealt with on the sewing in the signature! I was sad that you stopped or cut that part out because I felt like I’m the only one who struggles…because no one shows that specific part in their tutorials. I love the way you decorated this! I’ve got the same sort of thing in mind too. Very beautiful & fun! Thank you!

@@melissam0ss I appreciate your comment about sewing in the signature, I will walk through the whole process next time. I think using a couple more paper clips to hold pages together would be helpful, because the eyelets are big the paper shifts as you are trying to find the punched holes; if that makes sense.
@melissam0ss2 ай бұрын
@ oh yes! It makes sense! I’m gathering the papers now and will use more clips when I sew! I have those giant paper clips too 😂 and I love them! I’m going to keep eyes open (as you said) for coupon on a cropadille (?) I’m struggling with eyelet setting…no one ever talks about exactly which eyelets work with what do-dad! I figured out (today!) that Silent Setter needs the aluminum (Fiskar) 3/16 ones because they bend down easily. I couldn’t get any of the others I have to seat/bend! I want that manual one you used! So I hope you posted an affiliate link ;) Thank you Cathleen!

Hi Cathleen, Just subscribed and found you. Love your little journal. It came out exactly like Natasa's. I love her channel (she's funny too!). And now I've found you too. I think I'll make a few of them. Thank you. XOXOJANE
@heatherbuechelartistry2 ай бұрын
just discovered your lovely channel. I've been a fan of treasure book for years. I love these types of journals except one concern I have is how to strengthen such a narrow spine. I'm a big fan of kenny g, listened to him for years. I played tenor sax and clarinet and can no longer play due to health issues but I still compose music. Anyway thank you so much for the wonderful inspiration and not for speeding up your videos those are always so hard to watch when you tubers do that. 🥰
@cbarens12 ай бұрын
I agree about the strengthening, what if an extra strip, like 1.5” was glued to the inside, maybe a nice contrasting color. Kenny G did all of these very long improvisations, I was feeling short of breath watching him…remarkable. It’s great you are composing!!! Anyway, thanks for your comment!
@ButtercupK2 ай бұрын
You can also glue ribbon or other narrow strip of fabric along the spine (inside or outside) for strength using fabric glue.
@melissam0ss2 ай бұрын
@@cbarens1 brilliant idea! And could use the same template made for the signature to pre cut the eyelet holes before gluing! I’m going to try this today since I haven’t sewn my signature in yet. Thank you 😊
@heatherbuechelartistry2 ай бұрын
@@ButtercupK it'd have to be thick ribbon and it's still a very narrow spine, I like a little wider spine to have more options.
