Go Frankie! It's bizarre you've made this video. Honestly, whilst lashing yesterday, I decided to have a go at using a lash pad to take back the layers ( I normally just isolate with tweezers) What an absolute shambles I got into. Then I thought to myself, I've never seen Frankie use pads/tape. Nope, that's because, like you've shown here, it's not required!! I honestly thought I was missing out on something haha. I just don't get the insta posts with yards if tape and pads to move lashes! Thank you once again💕👌🙏

Ha ha this is so funny. Yep I am so with you and the shambles - the tape get stuck to your fingers, it then doesn't get all the lashes, it won't cover the whole eye, then you run the risk of some extensions coming off with it at the end... too much hassle for me, instead I just dive in and go fishing xx

Thaaaank you Frankie this was so needed as I am tired of trying to tape the lashes back! I thought there's got to be a better way, and here you are with this video! Thank a ton again! Have a great week!

I think many beginners use tape because the struggle with lash isolation. To me it always looked like a waste of time because I’m faster identifying layers as I go. Amazing tutorial! And thank you about that plastic on plastic explanation. We all know it slides like a soap, but you just made is so clear .. and guilt free ( you know when ur teaching on mannequin and can’t get the lash to stick whilst students watching 😅) hope to see more videos soon!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Thank you for this video Frankie!! I’ve been wondering what you thought about the whole taping layers technique! It’s also comforting to know you pull off lashes when you tape back too!! I didn’t like the technique personally & thought I was the only person that happened to because I wasn’t doing imsomething right but knowing it even happens to a veteran like you makes me feel so much better!!

Hey Laura, yep it happens to me and that's why I feel it always important that I share the honest bits of what happpens behind the scenes. But now you know you can leave that tape in the drawer! xx

I’ve seen people talk about placing different lengths on each layer, as in the longest lengths on the bottom and then going up in lengths each layer. Do you do this? And does this always have to be done? I’m doing research to prepare myself for a course, (likely your online one.) Thanks!

Hi there, so yes this is exactly what I do in this video. It doesn't always have to be done, however if you want to achieve a sharp top line that looks lovely and neat then this is the way to do it. HTH xx

Oh my goodness! Frankie! Is it possible to purchase one of those mannequin heads? This would help me tremendously !
@eyelashexcellence-frankiew3464 Жыл бұрын
Hi Connie, if I’m honest I wouldn’t bother purchasing one of these. They are quite expensive, however, other than practising isolation on them they are not nice to apply lash extensions too. This is why I don’t train my students on them and decided not to stock them and stick to the standard mannequin heads. They’re really hard to apply eyelashes to and they don’t actually when applying lashes mimic a real client. The only thing it is good for in my opinion is showing the different layers in a video like this or just practising the isolation, but it’s a lot of money to spend out for something that you can’t actually work that well on.
