I looked at you emptying the bag and thought, What's Quorn? Then I looked it up and found out why I'd never heard of it. It's banned in Canada. Apparently, it's not classified as a food. I am, however, allowed to eat potato chips that are 3000% fat.

One tip I was always taught by my chef dad was when dragging veg from the chopping board to pan or whatever flip the knife so you use the blunt edge. Stops the knife getting blunt quickly 🤗

Hi - just a couple of slow cooker tips. 1) Preheat the cooker while you are prepping the ingredients. Most of the time it will help with the overall cooking as slow cookers take a long time to heat up and the food slows that down. 2) Layer your more dense ingredients first e.g. meat, sweet potatoes etc as they take the longest to cook usually and need more heat. Things like onions etc will cook much faster and can be on top. Hope these tips are helpful. Weather in Ontario Canada is finally sunny and about 2 degrees celsius.

I looooove my slow coocker ! I use the same technique as you do for chopping bell peppers in the sausage meal. You could use the top of it also though. Just remove the center where the stem is, I just push it through, and chop the rest. For garlic, I press down on the hole thing and the cloves easely detach, After that, I just cut the part of each clove that was attached to the bunch, cruch it with the side of my knife and they peel almost by themselves. For stinking hands, wash them with dishsoap, rubbing them on your fawcet if it's stainless steel. The smell will vanished. Sorry if my vocabulary or grammar is not perfect, English is my second language.

Love garlic! It's so good for your immune system. I'm going to give a few kitchen tips being as I worked in one for 15 years. If you take the flat side of the knife and smash down on the garlic it's so easy to peel. Also if you want to keep your knife from getting dull, don't scrape it across the cutting board, use the other side. Hope this helps! 😀

Great video & a lot of fun. 👏🏻 Some tips - don’t mess around wasting time peeling & chopping garlic for slow cooker recipes; just slice the very top edge off the garlic & leave the root on, place the whole bulb into the crock pot & when the meal is cooked squeeze the garlic out & mix in, discarding the empty shell. Be careful it’s cool enough to handle. Tip 2 is if you need to make the casserole go further or want a thicker sauce, just sprinkle in some raw porridge oats. Don’t go mad - about 1 tablespoon for your crockpot. Sounds disgusting but you really won’t know it’s there. It’s a great tip for expanding mince whether meat or veggie. Final tip, I wouldn’t specially buy fresh peppers & faff around cutting them; frozen, sliced ones are processed very quickly so are often fresher & pro rate are often cheaper. In a salad you’re stuck with fresh but I never buy them for a casserole. Saves time, patience & casualty visits for missing fingers & odd shaped belly buttons. 😂😂😂 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Cannot wait to try these out. When I get Quorn mince out of the freezer I always bash the packet a few times with the heel of my hand to break up the mince before i slit the pack open (without skewering myself), that way it comes out pretty much in separate pieces.

As a disabled person using a slow cooker is a must.its so easy. With my chili I use frozen mixed veg to bulk it out and also there is something called lazy garlic which is pre chopped. Thank you mr C for a few more different recipes. I find if you use normal sausage they taste like the ones you get in the tins of beans and sausage really nice. I’ve also used frozen Swiss meatballs instead of mince. X

The chilli looked sooo good. Its actually sunny and spring like today in the north east but still a bit cold. I always do pulled pork or gammon in my slow cooker, it’s a family favourite.
