So, just the tiller shaft was damaged? If that's the case still an easy fix vs the gearbox or pto on the tractor.

You should never backup with a tiler

Im thinking you mean, never back up with the tiller down. I agree! But that is not what I did. I tried to raise the tiller - as I didnt know the pin was out of the i match - then I backed up, thinking it was up. Either way..bad day and a lot I would like to do differently. If you watch the video where I replace the PTO shaft, youll see how I took steps to be sure it doesnt happen again.
