Fell in love with this track! Immediately bought it (have purchased 2 others of yours already) from Beatport. It also was in my Spotify Release Radar last week as I follow you there too. Loved the tutorial too.

Rick Snoman talks about this technique in his book "The Dance Music Manual" from years ago. He calls it Hocketing. Oliver Heldens does this with Bass. Keep em coming.

It's pretty simple. And in the video it shows step by step how to start simple and make it more complex.

What a sick tune and tutorial!

Great tutorial been trying to take influence from the old school proper 90s progressive house and trance. This really explains the sound been really just 2 or 3 melodies/counter melodies using an array of sounds, and call and response elements spread out over a lot longer time frame than more modern melodic house. Cheers.

Awesome it's like you read my mind 4 days ago, and Ive just caught up with you today hehe, anyway... perfect video I needed right now, as ones manouvres like the frequency slave in us all staring at the paper will all the paints n colours ready to roll..... Arrangement and cohesion is the challenge.... Thanks for this video, such a helping hand among the jam nitty gritty right now....

Awesome - really enjoyed that, and that is proper funky. It was dramatic what an improvement the technique had on an already strong melodic component. I have experimented with this technique before plenty, but tend to do it on more complex melodies where it works somewhat from one phrase to another. For these, what I would call rhythmic melodies it is much more powerful. Thanks for the quality content as always. I find it amazing your subs aren't up at the 100k level yet - totally on par and beyond those that have those kind of numbers. I think I will drop your recommendation on some of the big FB forums - too many people are sleeping on your content.

This really cool, i find cumbersome to have 3 tracks layered and mute notes, i loaded a drum machine in bitwig with different sound , i wish i could play them with different pitch like a smopler, thatway i would have all the midi in one channel, kind of do…anyway thank you!

Live Suite. Drift is in all versions, even Live Lite, so if you're up to date on updates you should have it.

For your downloads, what is the difference between main and the other downloads?
@dilbydj10 ай бұрын
Hey man, sorry but I don't understand the question.
@forrestblair516810 ай бұрын
When I go to House of Loop to buy there are lots of options. Some kits, packs, etc. Main is the most expensive. Does it contain everything? There is no help on the site to determine what is in each download.

If techno had melodies, it’s not techno anymore. It’s then called trance.

Not Trance. Maxime Dangles, Florian Meindl, Oliver Huntemann and many more have melodies in their Techno tracks
