I have watched multiple videos to learn how to do this.. This is by far THE BEST VIDEO, despite been 2 years old. The pace (slow enough for beginners) , closeness to your hands & scalp (making it super easy to see what's going on) and the tips (e.g, making pony tails loose initially, what to do if the crochet pin gets tangled etc). I am saving this right away

You can also use a large beader as well to crotchet hair it doesn't snag the hair this method is what I use.👍❤️

I don't know if anyone has tried this but I tried the method of double banding, which means that one band has the extension hair loop through and the second is going to hold my hair, and what I do is I then use that as the ponytail holder and then turn the wefted hair that has the extension on it underneath. The crochet needle just makes me nervous even though back in the 90s that was common to. It's just I always seem to jab my scalp😅

I love it! I'm trying to do this on my hair now but the rubber bands keep slipping as I twist. Next time, I will forgo my leave-in conditioner and see if that helps. My hair can easily become very slippery. It doesn't help that it's also thing. Your twists look perfect on you!

Can anyone tell what the best method is when you washed your hair before braiding. Do you put hair cream and then braid or leave it washed and get into the braiding?

I wash and deep condition my hair then blow dry and begin braiding. Braiding on wet hair can cause hair breakage always safe to blow dry first. ♥️

Can after washing like I’ve put my hair protector in and blow dried can I apply my soft n free moisturiser to keep my scale hydrated or should I after drying go straight into braiding and put hair oils in the lines so my scalp does seem dry?

@@qyoff748 add a lightweight leave-in conditioner or a heat protectant while your hair is still damp, I would recommend putting ( not a lot) but some kind of moisturizing butter or lightweight cream to the end of your natural hair, just another way to protect your natural hair from the braiding hair. Then when your all done oil your scalp 😉 hope this helps ♥️
