Just wanted to say that if you have an auto dried kelp farm you can funnel the gold swords into a smelter of some sort (eg furnace ) and then use dried kelp from the kelp farm to make dried kelp blocks which are a decent fuel. You can then make a chest and place all your fuel there then funnel that aswell into the furnace. This is just to get that extra bit of gold yk

Please add a note at 4:40 to change the sorting system to 41x gold ingot/nugget/rotten flesh and 4x1 dirt. Otherwise the system breaks as soon as one of the chest stacks is full, as the comparator output becomes so powerful that it acts on the neighboring torches. It's a nice tutorial but a bit more redstone insight might help!

@@Cettaloin the video suggests to put into the sorting hopper 1x your desired item, and in the next slot 41 dirt, and the next 3 slots 1 dirt. This leads to a comparator output that, if one additional item gets added, will unpower the torch blocking the hopper and leading it to unload this item, which will be from the first slot (so your desired item). However, if the chest below is full, your desired item will stack to 64, increasing the comparator output so much that it unpowers all torches including the neighboring hoppers, leading to unfiltered item passthrough. If you, instead of putting 1-41-1-1-1 (item numbers in the 5 hopper slots) put 41-1-1-1-1, when overflow happens it only goes to 64-1-1-1-1 instead of 64-41-1-1-1. This way, the overflow does not increase the comparator output enough to break the system. In short, as shown in the video, putting 1 gold-41 dirt-1dirt-1 dirt-1dirt breaks the system as soon as one chest stack is full (happens when you afk for longer time). Putting instead 41 gold-1dirt-1dirt-1dirt-1dirt It will never break even if full.

Mumbo has a video on item filters for non-stackables here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXfMlnahdqiga7s In the case of gold farms, the design here just lets non-stackables flow through and destroys them, since they are comparatively of little use.

Well, if you really don't want to waste those golden sword then use lava bucket for fuel since dripstone can get you renewable lava source. also, if you're on bedrock then there is kelp farm for Dried kelp block as alternative of coal too.

Amazing farm, and I built the sorting system but there are still a few bugs in the system, had a lot of gold ingots and nuggets going into the incinerator. Redesigned the sorting circuit a bit, and added a chest to the outflow and a dropper with a switch, so I can check the outflow before sending them to the lava.

Tip (at least for java): If your items are going through the hoppers when they aren't supposed to, make sure the comparator system is not sitting on glass. It worked for me!

Gosh, thanks so much man. I've tried to build different sorting systems before and they were too laggy or just straight up broke apart before I could make use of them, and only your design has worked for me. It's so simple yet works great. I changed a few things, for example I built a different clock for the dropper and chose to burn the rotten flesh, and now I can FINALLY use my gold farm! So overjoyed. After days of trying to figure this out, I can finally rest. Looking forward to similar vids from you, because I swear to god, some youtubers make these structures more complicated than they need to be.

if you have a dual gold farm that has 2 portals and 2 killing chambers, you can build this but you'd have to build it twice because it backs up too fast. so i basically did this but i build two of them so that both kill chambers dont collect into the same system

I found that using two Observers facing each other for the garbage items works as well and is less confusing then using repeaters/comparators going into the dropper.

Excellent works great, just one thing. In Minecraft Bedrock 1.19.2 (in the realm) instead of putting 41 + 1 + 1 + 1 renamed blocks, you have to put 11 + 11 + 11 + 11. (Obvious in the first 1 desired object) 👍🏻😊

Filter worked like a charm, so I expanded the storage and left it to run overnight. Woke up this morning and saw a rotten flesh epidemic in every chest. Seems like the filter had been working until something happened and the filters were put into the hoppers for some reason.

Change the filter in the hopper to 41-1-1-1-1. This will provide a working overflow protection. So 41 of the sortable items in the first slot of the hopper and than one filter item in the 4 remaining.

Works great if you build exactly as shown, however i tried to replace the dropper and lava with a blast furnace to smelt the tools into nuggets and i found out very quickly that the blast furnace cannnot keep up with the system, it will get clogged and the hoppers will in turn eat dirt and the system will break. However i also had 3 double chests funneling everything in. If you find your system is getting clogged try constricting your input to a single chest as shown.

this really isn't working for me, designed it exactly as you have here but when i put my iron ingot in like you have @4:32 it goes straight through and it stops in the hopped that is directly connected to the top chest. it doesn't go in the chest. from the redstone it does look like it it the hopper directly connected to the chest that is being powered right? not the one above which you put the gold in?. any ideas?

For the dropper on bedrock. put the comparator one block away from the dropper and build what he says. After you have finished you it should not be connected to the dropper. Now you’re going to face the dropper from your redstone comparator, and place two of any block. Place redstone on top of both blocks and it should rapidly drop like shown in the video. really like this design, but for some reason occasionally the system gets flooded for me for some unknown reason. I went afk on a friends server, and after the first 3 double chests of bones, gunpowder etc where filled, apparently the filterblocks i used just got flooded through the hoppers and the system stopped sorting and only stores again. anyone having the same issue/ a fix?

Edit.: it very likely wasn't caused due to extra filterblocks being thrown into the system, since those were named blocks and only the specific amount i needed was even named to begin with.

I recomend using a grindstone to get xp from the armors and swords instead of deleting them (only effective if you currently dont have a farm dedicated for your xp)

I tried putting this on a witch farm to sort out gunpowder, Redstone and glowstone. Build the exact same thing and the hopper that holds the filter item and blocks just collects everything and keeps the items but it doesn’t work putting it into my chests. So I can put one gunpowder for example in each slot and I will be able to farm like until it’s 5 stacks but nothing more than that can someone help?

After while, items like gold and rotten flesh and gold nuggets slip by and could get burn, it worked, but we were able to connect it a furnace using a dropper. However we noticed items will slip by, this clogs the furnaces and we need to manually take it out and redo the procedures. Anyways to fixed this slipping items problem?

Stop letting your main storage chests fill up, any main chest that gets full will start outputting to the sword/armour chest

@@andrewlodge8065 Chests aren't filling up and I do have a hopper into a chest into the auto smelter. I even made the x8 sorting system with ice and hopper minecarts and I still get a nugget or two getting through somehow and clogging the furnace. Playing on Bedrock if that makes any difference.

What should i do? Hopper where i should put the fillers in puts the item in the first chest. I tried to rebuild this but didn’t work. Please help me!!

Do the items stack onto the hoppers when it starts overfilling from the first chest for other people ? Or are the hoppers just another storage at that point
