I really enjoyed this video. I have some of Tim's collage papers and they have been unused for years. Now I am excited to use them.

I am going to try this with my inktense pencils

Yes do....I don't recommend coloring on the paper though as I found that left marks and was harder to blend out. Instead draw on craft mat or make a pool of color. Once there is a base coat you can use pencil directly ( if dry otherwise the napkin/tissue will rip) K

Crikey ! This is terrific. I stumbled upon your lovely channel & excellent teaching because I also have a few Holtz collage papers? So thank you ever so much for the inspiration. ❤🇦🇺-Brisbane

I recently got some of this collage paper and I'm pretty new to collage in general. I tried putting it over a colored background and it didn't look nearly as translucent as yours does. Am I not putting down enough collage medium first?
@KarenBurchill2 жыл бұрын
I would try using more...are you using gel medium or fluid....I find with tissue fluid works better. Also are you using Tim Holtz tissue? different brands work differently . My background colors are pretty pastel like so that may appear less blocked than a darker color.
@RiseandProcraftinate2 жыл бұрын
@@KarenBurchill yes, I am using the Tim Holtz collage papers. I'm not sure if it's considered gel or not. I certainly wouldn't consider it fluid, but I am using Distress Collage Medium in Matte, as that is what I had on hand.

@@RiseandProcraftinatetry and add a little water to some medium in a small, separate pot? It works better on the paper as it’s not “gluggy.” ❤

Strange when you say papers etc shows up in reverse yet your hands appear the right way, with your wedding rings showing up on your left hand on screen! X

Due to joint problems /arthritis I can not wear my wedding ring on my left hand...so that may just confuse things LOL You are very observant as no one has commented on that ever.
