how about watering them,how do ypu water in this big bowl?

It’s a good question Ina. My bowl has an opening at the bottom. So the water has an exit. I also added many pieces of foam inside so they absorb the water first. I pour more water to fern and just a minimal amount to orchids. However, this type of arrangement is not meant to last for years. You would need to change the foam inside from time to time, usually when Orchid flowers falls off. I hope it helps:)
