Why did you go so fast after the first knot ??
@davidhaykus15683 жыл бұрын
I ALWAYS use the break away on the back of the ones I make for sale because if you catch on something it could be a safety/liability issue.
If you shorten the length you can make a wrist strap for your keys, you can start with a double cow hitch, take the ends go in between the two strands from underneath, go out ward with each cord, then feed your key ring from underneath and go back into the loop you made on each side, pull tight then start your cobra.

How long do you have to leave the tails for braiding?
@ParacordPlanet Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! The whole strand of Paracord 550 is 5 feet long. Find the middle and drape it over the back of your neck, letting about 2.5 feet of cord hang in front of each shoulder. From there, the tail length is customizable based on how low you want your keys/keychain to hang. Let us know if that helps. 🪐

I’m having an issue with finishing. When I burn the cord, it doesn’t hold. In addition it turns black. Any ideas?
@ParacordPlanet3 жыл бұрын
I would suggest melting it more slowly. Hold the flame a little bit farther away, maybe just barely touching the end of the cord. Then, once it is melted enough, take a flat instrument like the side of a scissors and flatten the cord against. In this video, we used nylon paracord. Polyester will behave differently.

@@ParacordPlanet Thanks. What type of lighter do you use?
@Jackal_Blitz3 жыл бұрын
@@evelynrinaldi8434 Any cheap lighter from a gas station will work just fine. Fire is fire for this case. If you want something you can direct more, a butane lighter projects the flame in a straight line, but it's a nice-to-have.
