Just spent the afternoon making this and would like to point out, what I think is an error. I pieced together the sections as outlined from time frame 3:30-3:45. They do not match up with the pieced square you show us at 3:47.

How wide are your binding strips? I’ve never seen binding done that way, but thought it was a great idea for a smaller project like that.

I wonder if she used her backing as her binding. If that is the case, it looks like she cut the backing 1/2” bigger all around, turned under 1/4” and then folded over and sewed.

Those strips are only one inch wide when doing this type of binding….see how the corners are mitred ..quick and easy..🇨🇦

If you watch the video you can see it’s the backing she used to bin. Just make it 1 inch wider all round. It’s very effective.

Lisa, Your channel popped up for me rhus AM. Cool today and working on a wall hanging. Nice project thank you. Did you use a 2" binding OR wrap the red backing over? Please advise because your work looks very nice and may be easier for us on small projects. ❤❤

It looks like it's a wrap over from the back. Maybe 1/2" wider all around to allow to fold over and stitch down.
