Also, this is really a good refresher course… and I am making a very boho type necklace with sterling silver..Actually it’s going to be more like a choker necklace but not as tight and I will be using some gorgeous pearls that I bought at a gem show. Now can’t tell you the rest of the design because it’s gotta stay a secret lol 😂 gosh I feel like a comedian today… oh, and I’m starting my KZbin channel. 4 years ago, I won a prize of 3 strands of freshwater pearls. I've gone back and forth with trying to figure out what I'd like to make with them. I've pearl knotted before and love doing it - I think it's relaxing! I learned last week that pearls are the trend for this year... glad I waited! Morning Kelly…great tutorial…I have a question…I have tried using sterling silver bead tips when I knot, whether using pearls or other gemstones, and the bead tips break…the little hook that goes onto the clasp doesn’t seem strong enough…you used an antique copper pair for this project…is it better to use a metal other than sterling silver for the added strength?? Yes but it will be hard to get through the beads if you don’t have a small eye needle.
