I like to use markers on the edge of the filters/petals before they they are put together and spray very lightly with diluted alcohol. Makes a beautiful bleeding effect

Love your video, I immediately subscribe to it. . Good for beginners..not so complicated. Was wondering can I use the paper flower as hair accessory attach to like clips or hair clamps or as ponytail style, other than as decor? if so what other material can be use to make flowers intended to use for hair accessory? Thanks

How do have them dry? Do you separate the 3 pieces and have them flat on a surface or do you hang them? Just wondering because I want to make many flowers at the same time, so not sure what's the best way to dry them. Also, how long do they take to dry? Thank you. Love your video.
@allyphillips74726 жыл бұрын
Lu Lopes you can dry em in oven 350 for 5 mins - no separating but ya can if ya want✌🏽️💜😊❗️
@thronethimble92016 жыл бұрын
I left them bunched together and laid them out to dry on a table, flipping occasionally. You could also use a drying rack. Depends on the room temp but they dry fairly quickly! The comment below about drying in the oven could work too, just keep an eye on it so the edges don't start to brown!

Hi! I'm definitely going to make these for my daughters first birthday! How would you glue them together without the stick though?
@thronethimble92017 жыл бұрын
@Firly Tinungki : I would still use the stick for structure, to help hold it all together, but you can definitely cut or break the stick right at the base of the flower so it is not be sticking out. Hope this helps! :)

Except the coffee filter, is there any larger paper I use to make these beautiful flowers? Recommend supply shop online?
@thronethimble92018 жыл бұрын
Hmm, good questions Selina Wang! You can try tissue paper- the kind used for wrapping gifts, not for your nose! Your local dollar store may have those in 12-20 packs, so still pretty economical, but you may need to use more layers of paper to create volume. Or you could try crepe paper, though that would be a bit more textured, you can buy those in big rolls. Let me know how these work on a larger scale, would love to see how yours turn out!

Selina Wang Hi. You can purchase larger coffee filters made for commercial (very large) coffee makers. You do have to buy them a case at a time so the initial cost is a little high, but good value for the amount of paper. Check eBay & Amazon. I think I found the cheapest w/free shipping on eBay. They're a little harder to handle bc of size, takes more dye, but it's worth it! Good luck!

@thronethimble92018 жыл бұрын
I am not 100% sure, But you can absolutely use different sizes, depending on what you have available or on hand. The larger the filter = the larger the flower! Thank you for watching :)
