I'm only 3 min and 30 secs into the video, but I want to make a suggestion...after you paint objects such as this with black chalk paint and distress it, go over it with antiquing wax. You wouldn't believe how it makes the black look rich and so much more beautiful.

I had a friend make this for me from her cricut machine. If you don't have a cricut, maybe print one off the internet and cut it out. I have a larger stencil in my Etsy shop, but I think it would be too big for towels. www.etsy.com/shop/Pipberriesandburlap

Did you try 100% pure acetone to remove the ink off of the bottles, it generally works for me on everything!

I agree. There can be good items to be had still though. But I am finding that I buy less and less every time I go due to prices.
