I was using the plane alone. The idea of joining with the target tag is great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. ✌😎

Hi, the HDRI was purchased from Patrick4D (you'll need to purchase from his online store) and the noise texture is built into redshift.

I think on the plane you need to add an RS Object tag and uncheck Primary Ray to remove unnecessary calculations, no?

Hi Rob, absolutely can toggle that off, but with this scene being incredibly bare bones I did not. Thanks!

How can I use motion GOBOs on c4d ? like leaf motions ( something like using videos or ... )
@niclanzillo
@niclanzillo Жыл бұрын
Hey Iman - So I've found two ways to go about this. The first way is you can import an image sequence into a texture node. You would then click the "animation" tab in the node, need to set the mode and timing, and finally click to "detect frames". The second way is you can animate the Maxon Noise node in the editor. You should find an "animation" section. Just set a speed and it should populate in the rs renderview. Hope those help!

But wait, I don't understand this. Why would you do it this way when you can just add a cinema noise texture to your light (whether it's a spotlight or an area light) and get exactly the same result?
@niclanzillo
@niclanzillo Жыл бұрын
Hey Simone, you certainly can add a shader graph to any RS light and achieve similar results. There's more than one way to skin a cat. I've always liked having the plane set as my texture, in the event I want to slightly move the positioning of the texture. Feels a bit easier to move in space (and a bit more like artistically directing a scene) vs. nudging an offset within a node. Appreciate the comment, bud!
