Hi beautiful loaf! How do you stop the bread having a blow out spot? Without a functional score my breads rise alot and blow out

I saw a picture somewhere where they had put a cinnamon stick in the top to make it look like a pumpkin. That is really gorgeous ❤❤❤

Good video, need a recipe/hydration level etc, and also need to see the bread when you cut into it. It has to have a good crumb, and taste good too... From my experience, this bread is pretty firm when you are scoring it this easily, and that makes me wonder what it looks like on the inside, close up. Thanks!

You didn’t mention the Temperature. What are you baking it before you bring it down to 475?

Also, do you think if we put some olive oil n the twine strings it won't stick to the bread?

quick question do you spray your dough with water? i'm wondering if this is why mine doesn't come out as white as yours. also do you cook it in a dutch oven first? do you have a recipe somewhere?
@kristascottage72744 жыл бұрын
I don’t spray my DO or my dough. It just sticks to the dough ever so slightly. If you’re having trouble with it vanishing crack the lid of your Dutch oven.

Which recipe is this? Do you preheat your dutch oven? Thanks
@kristascottage72744 жыл бұрын
I do preheat my Dutch oven. I don’t preheat for any longer than my oven takes to heat up though.
@md1080914 жыл бұрын
Wonderful! How do you get it in the Dutch oven? Just lift the the strings or place in by hands on the side?
@kristascottage72744 жыл бұрын
I hold on to the edges of the parchment paper and lower it in.
@caroljeanscholl73703 жыл бұрын
Can this also be done with was regular bread dough just as easily? And my other question is was your Dutch oven heated oven temp before you put your bread in?
@jmadd323 жыл бұрын
Yes it doesn’t have to be sourdough. And normally the Dutch oven is preheated w the oven. Not sure if that’s what she did in this video or not
@caroljeanscholl73703 жыл бұрын
@@jmadd32 Yes you answered both questions. Thank you

How long do you let it rise in the fridge?
@cheryljo12374 жыл бұрын
If I do not bake in a dutch oven can I till let it rise on parchment paper with the string already laid out before it rises? Then tie it up, flour lightly and score? Would that work? Thanks in advance....
@kristascottage72744 жыл бұрын
I think that should work!! If you try it let me know.

What is the hydration of your dough? I believe high hydration may not be easy for handling with this arrangement. Thanks

@@bettychan7511 What recipe to do you use for pumpkin sourdough? I am trying to find a recipe i can look at for how to compensate for hydration, as I bake Gluten Free.
