Try to improve your grades for class 11, study and write a few AP exams (there are 38 subjects, so if you write 5-10 and can score 4s and 5s it will put you in a good spot) and finally improve on your SAT scores: all this will help you maximize your chances when applying to an Ivy League or any other top college

APs are never mandatory for any college in the US, they are always optional. With that said, giving APs and scoring well in them significantly increases your chances of getting admitted by top colleges. Good luck!

It might be tough with that score- I would suggest giving the SAT again to aim for a higher score or write AP exams or excel in your school tests

Application fee is the major issue, the process of paying applications is so difficult in Nigeria.

If you can get your counsellor to sign off on it you can get a common app waiver that allows you to apply to up to 20 schools for free!! That changed the game for me.
