It's not intended for it; primarily it's to allow you to sew wide zig-zag and decorative stitches. ;-)

•Walking feet help with stretchy fabrics. •To reduce bumpy hems in stretchy fabrics you can put a price of papper on-top of the stretchy fabric and sew with a normal root with smaller length stitches, tear off the papper afterwards.

They also help with slippery fabrics like linings. AND I found out this week it can also help with easing bias tape around curves more evenly.

Ooh. I've seen that elastic trick before and have forgotten. That will come in useful... For a second thread stand, a while ago I saw in a video that you can get one of those jars that come with a drinking straw and a hole in the lid and put your spool in there - this is especially useful if you have bigger spools that won't stay put on a horizontal peg (like my machine has) but could be useful for a twin needle as well...

I sew more with knits and I love the twin needle. If you aren’t aware you can get one that is wider between the needles.

The elastic hack had me with my jaw dropping. Even the thread hack but the others I knew but I don't get that brand of needles, we get the ORGAN BRAND. You can make pin tucks using twin needles by pulling the bobbin thread to pull both lines of stitching together.

I know a hack how to undo an overlock stich in 2 seconds...let me know if interested ( difficult to explain) I used to use magnets for straight stitching, easy to move for different seam allowance

The know you can use a gathering foot or sew with the longest stitch and pull the bobbin thread to create the gathers
