Loved seeing this club cozy being made today. Reminds me of over 20 years ago designing club covers for a friend as Xmas exchange gift. I embroidered the club # and for fun I embroidered a joke one with the wrong # just cause as it was my experimental pattern anyway. With that said I needed that returned because it was my pattern of sorts. I used a combination of black velour blanket and acrylic soft knee high socks for the leg part and the design I made was a black snake with a split red tongue and the number on the top of the snakes head. It came out amazingly well. Back in my more creative days. Anyway the socks helped balance the weight to keep the snake covers on. And I also added a cute pocketed hand towel in black and embroidered on one half side the fellas name and on the other side the word Balls. Will I had two used golf balls some folks gave me to put in the towel's pockets. This was a lot of in jest and it was innocent fun and turned out really well. In the meantime the person promised to return the boo boo wrong # for me to keep as a pattern but will he refused after his parents saw it they had to have one and that was that. I have no idea 20 years later how or what I made other than a memory it was a snake and embroidered numbers in red and words embroidered in red on a black hand towel with grommets set on the towel too to help clip it onto a bag or belt. I'm not a golf player. My inlaws tried to talk me into making covers in shapes and all for them and to sell. I told them not on your life as you could import what they had in mind from the other countries and they would not only do a great job in most cases but had the materials I would not be able to keep for making squirrels and bears and all that on a regular basis of production. Plus I lean towards creativity and once around is just right but repeat and repeat not so much. Love your hints of lining with fleece. Do you know there wasn't that much fleece around 20 years ago. I know buy throw blankets of every kind and quality to use as fabric. Love having all the fleece they make today. Mainly solids but there are some wonderful quality textures and prints too. Will thank you for taking me down memory lane and loved your little cover. Would love to see your embroidery patterned ones or a few anyway.

Great Hints! The reason why it is uneven at the top is the feed dogs pull it farther than the top goes. If you use an even feed foot that will not happen OR not sure, but if you clip the rounded curve before stitching the bottom half sides it might keep the shifting from happening NOT SURE with vinyl but just a thought

Thanks for the video. I have two questions. Do you sell any of your creations anywhere? & also, could you do a tutorial for a barrel Headcover?

Would you be willing to do a private lesson for me? I live in Apple Valley and I have a special headcover design that I would love to learn how to make myself.

Can you see any reason why I could not do leather with fleece lining?

you can use leather, but will need to thin the edges of the leather to help with the turn out and seams. Seams get bulky fast with leather. good luck!!
