This is the perfect video for me. I'll be going full time, in a travel trailer, and I was having severe doubts about a solar set up. I'd already decided on the AC300 but it's really nice to see that someone else had come to the same conclusion. The Delta Pro is actually 1600 watts of solar. And comparing the Delta Max to the Bluetti AC 300 are two different in cases. Its suppose to be Delta Pro VS AC 300.

Good choice! I also purchased the AC300 and 4 batteries and the 3) 200 watt bundled panels for my camp trailer. I also installed 2 strings of 1000 watts of solar panels on the roof (10-200 watt panels). Added a transfer switch for both A/C and D/C voltage. I haven't tested it out yet, but your usage and makeup information was helpful.

With transfer switch I put the solar generator inside my trailer. Ran solar cable inside as well. Can still use external ac connection when necessary. Shore power or gas generator. Really boondock forever.

Excellent video. Concise and full of important facts. I totally agree with your comment about more solar panel capacity than batteries. I have a motorhome and I added additional solar panels to the roof and a connection for portable solar panels prior to thinking about any battery upgrade. Now I’m thinking about just investing in a power station instead of lithium batteries for the exact same reasons that you stated.

You can use the Bluetti as a power source, plugging appliances directly into it, but to run the Frig and AC you have to use it as a 'shore power' source. Question: Using as a Shore Power source runs the Bluetti through the RV converter/inverter and that saps power. Alternating Current out at the 'shore power' socket goes into the RV system, which distributes it as AC and DC power . . . also trickle charging your lead/acid battery . . . is there a way to bypass the RV panel?

This an extremely important question, running this system off the shore power plug is highly inefficient from what I understand. Maybe disable the RV inverter and run a separate connection for the 12v side

To run AC make sure you have installed a "Soft Start" system. Easier on compressor and keeps peak starting load under control. With that installed I can run my RV AC at home from a 20 amp 110 plug to cool coach before we head out.. Good review.

I have to return my 2 b300 batteries recently. If you look in the Bluetti community lots of issue with the b300s going dead and then you can’t revive them. If you’re planning to use them off grid and can’t keep them constantly powered you may want to look at other options fortunately I should have sent them back early on when I was getting errors out of the box

Very well done. We are looking at solar generators as a possible replacement for the 10s of thousands or dollars we've seen people dump into solar systems. Bluetti is just release the AC500 which looks great as well. It appears to have a dedicated 50A RV plug which is great for us as we have a large RV. I'm just wondering if we would be able to boondock for a week or 2 at a time with one of these systems. During the hotter months we would definitely need to run at least 1 AC if not 2. Wish we had an opportunity to test one of these systems with our RV to see what it could and could not do for us off grid.

You can put 200 extra solar input on each battery, as well as 500 using their DC charging enhancer, per battery, if you have 4 batteries you can (in a convoluted way admittedly) get 2800 watts of solar just on the batteries, as well as the 2400 on the AC300 itself. Giving a total of 5200 at full capacity with all the batteries. Taking advantage of all of that, you could really push the limits of what you can put on that AC300. In addition, if you happen to have a solar set up already that converts your existing panels to AC, you can get a bunch more also via AC charging, the bluetti blows the competition out of the water if you want to go full on solar.

Nice vid. If you monitor this, would be interested in your thoughts on small addition to your plan I am considering. Bluetti solar gen and portable solar panels are plan 1.....BUT my rv is prewired for solar (just a roof top connection box and cable routed from roof to storage bay and dead eneded). So there are some great deals on solar panel kits so putting 2-400 watts of solar on roof of rv and then where the cable ends in rv storage... having it dead end but a way to plug extension in so that roof top panels can charge bluetti. I know sometimes parked in shade and will still have portable panels that are better but....with all that roof space and pre wired....seems $400 for 400watts of good fixed rv roof solar might be worth it and then maybe down the road will route into rv and upgrade to lithium batteries etc when I learn more or needs change. Dumb or good idea? Still thinking on it, but lets say you put 1000w of cheap solar fixed on rv roof and just sometimes just cabled it to bluetti.... that is my thought as a option for now . I was thinking the same thing. But what I concluded is I'm going to disassemble compressor on the air conditioner and push cool water from geothermal cooling in the summertime just using the fan on the air conditioner. Because the compressor is what uses most of the electricity. Out of the ground water is about 65° Fahrenheit running that into your inside coil allowing it to flow across the into the outside coil will blow the excess Heat away that water should be dumped or disposed of. My thought is to dump it into my septic tank

You can not only max out your solar panels but you can then add an extra 500w by going solar through the AC enhancer to have additional solar.

You most likely need to install a "Soft Start" on your rv. They sell them for around $250 that can get wired directly into your AC or at the 30Amp plugin area. Most generators and solar generators are not rated to start the compressor since they require such a high initial spike. A soft start might solve that issue, as it did for me. I can run my rv ac now on a house plug with a standard electrical cord, or via an AC200Max. I couldn't prior to installing a Microair Soft start. @@rvtechman3619

Completely silent is not true, the fans on these units are very loud. I know a lot of people like to say that about power stations because they don't use combustion, but it is as loud as my robot vacuum if it is in the same room and the fan is on. Not as much of an issue if it is outside or in a contained storage area, but still misleading. From another website: "I measured ~48.2 dBA for the “low speed” (single fan?) noise level, and ~57.9 dBA for the “high speed” (both fans?) noise level, all at 1 meter away from the AC200MAX" My inverter generator is in the 50's for db so they aren't much different when the power station is work horsing it. Granted the fan does cycle and doesn't even come on under light loads.

Good video with good info (I'm considering purchasing this system), but please, the difference between watts and watt-hours is important. Watts is power (i.e. a 1500 watt space heater), and watt-hours is power over time or ENERGY (i.e. space heater for one hour = 1500 watt-hours). Solar panels are rated in watts (power), and over time they bring in a certain amount of watt-hours (ENERGY). You captured 2200 WATT-HOURS per day, NOT watts. What you said is like saying 'I drove 60 MPH per day'. Doesn't make sense, does it? (hint: watts multiplied by time is watt-hours) Anyways, electrical engineer rant over.

I have been living fulltime in a 28 foot travel trailer with a AC200max + B230 for over a year now. So far it has worked well and will even run AC with a soft start installed. I have 1100 watts on the roof along with 400 watts of portable panels which allows me to run ac for hours without any loss of power since it's has passthrough solar that matches my usage. I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket so i have a gas generator and about to move my house house battery indoors and add a independent charge controller, inverter, and battery monitor. If the Bluetti dies I will have a backup that is serviceable. However, the Bluetti has allowed me to quickly get out camping and start working remote.
