Easy Spooky ITA-BAG Decorating!

Ita means ouch essentially. So Ita bags are usually really busy and filled to the brim with a bunch of -usually expensive otaku- stuff, which can be an eyesore and is really expensive. So it's a painful bag. An ouch to look at and an ouch to make.

ita comes from the word itai (痛い）in japanese which means painful! it doesnt mean disgusting. it is a play on words because you are hurting your wallet with a bunch of expensive merchandise that people mostly buy from japan (or artists).

it is both! but it leans more towards painful for your wallet because making ita bags were mostly for anime merchandise and depending on the character can go anywhere from $3-100+ depending on popularity/rarity and you are buying multiple items for that character! but overall the term is painful not disgusting so you are correct :-)

I got a blue version of that bag on the wish site and the plastic heart piece has glitter too it. I put all my Disneyland pins in it. I love the idea of the stripe background! Super cute!

That is so nice, I love the striped background. Since the Heart Shaped Ita Bags have a lot of space on the sides both up and down, you could actually do a double background front and back and glue it above for the backside. No idea how to explain but it gives you a second background without having to glue another cardboard.

Thank you so much for this wonderful idea. I've been wanting to do an ita bag for a while now, but couldn't decide how to go about it. Also because I have so many different fandoms and stuff that I like I have a hard time deciding. Your idea works well not only for doing less damage to the bag, but also with doing the cardboard panel, it would be so easy to make a few different panels with different fabrics, colors, and accessories to easily swap out themes instead of having to get a ton of individual bags.

This is a great idea if you want multiple fandom it's bags, but only one bag! Then you can just change the cardboard for which ever theme you choose~

The front and sidds🕁 are Black Lady and Mistress 9 theme. I haven't decided on a theme for the back yet but then again I want another in Black so who knows 🕇☗

Ita has multiple meanings. Painful, Board, or 'there'. In this usage, it means 'board', like a cork board. Board bag! Basically 'display board bag', as it's roughest and simplest form.
