Easy Spring Flower Arrangement, Seed Starting Tips

Hi! My name is Crane. Welcome to my suburban cottage home garden in New Jersey Zone 7, in naturalistic garden style. I mainly grow cut flowers, greens, and herbs and make garden bouquets to sell at my roadside stand. I grow all kinds of vegetables and, sometimes, cook. Everything looks beautiful in your garden. Another KZbinr I follow uses a similar soil block tool for her vegetable crops - Seasonal Homestead. But I think her mixture is usually drier when making the block. Maybe that will make it easier for you. Sorry about your friend. Sending good thoughts that they recover.

My Sunday morning routine is to watch your show while I have my breakfast and a coffee. @@cranerygardens Hi Crane, I am so sorry to see your Zinnias are not doing too well - especially since they cost a lot. They are suppose to be so easy to grow right? Don't give up and maybe try again a bit later when the weather is a bit more stable. They will catch up in growth. I know how you feel though. I live in a colder climate than the rest of Australia, so when everyone else is planting seeds, I have to wait a bit longer. I planted trays of flower seeds for spring planting (we are currently about to go into Winter here) which I read on the seed packets was the right time to start sowing and about six seeds out of 60 have come out. So disappointing. How am I going to get a cut flower garden started when I can't even grow the seeds? I'll just wait a bit longer and try again. Don't be disheartened about your arrangements not selling as well. It has nothing to do with your beautiful bouquets and probably more to do with the fact that times are hard financially for people and I guess everyone has to watch where they spend their money for now. It doesn't help your little business though does it? I bet after the market you just did, you will probably pick up more regular customers. I love your vlogs Crane. They are the highlight of my Sunday morning breakfast routine. I love your garden as well What a credit it is to you and Jason. So beautiful and so inspirational. Enjoy your garden and know that you are a special person with a wonderful talent.
