I'm thinking about doing this in my area, but fixing chips for consumers. I have a buddy with an auto repair business who said I can set up in his parking lot on the weekends. Do you recommend a certain brand of tools/ resins. Also, how did you get hooked up with these dealerships? I'm guessing all the ones in my area already have someone they use.

I walk in, find the guy in charge of reconditioning and talk to him. I try n fix one to show them my work. A lot of my accounts I picked up 10 years ago. Every two weeks I fix their inventory. And a lot of times I’ll get 3-9 cars at a stop. Better in my opinion than waiting for someone to stop and fix one. You make less per chip but get lots of cars at once. I use delta kits resin. And I have a cheap set of bridges I got from “American windshield”. I think they’re in Arizona. Been using those for 15 years.

Do you do cracks as well if so how much per crack or inch?

You really can’t do long cracks. They’ll look good for the short term but in my experience they never last unfortunately. Always reopen
