I kept reading how people said it was "too salty" so instead of doing 3/4 cup low sodium soy sauce and 1/4 cup honey, I did 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, and then added 1/4+ cup honey to taste. Turned out really well!!

Gabriel Lopez 😂 well if you want it then make it, like why do you have to go and give loads of money to someone to cook something for you when you can do it the way you want it for way cheaper and you could probably alternate it to your tastes and make it healthier if u need to
@ORION-1414 жыл бұрын
Ioni B. You’re right, which is why that person is here I’m sure lol to make it themselves the way they like. I just thought your response was a little sassy and funny towards a person who is trying to diy already

1:50 regarding the stuck/unstuck conundrum, it occurred to me that the intensity of the heat determines the thickness of the cooking gradient: higher heat = sharper & thinner gradient. my first try, the heat was not high enough, so the whole piece was cooked through by the time the chicken unstuck itself, resulting in leathery/dry chicken after the other side was done.. so my second try I used higher heat (between 7 and 8 on the electric range-top's smaller coils) and voila! the chicken unstuck itself while there was still more to cook by flipping it over, turned out juicy with a thin & browned/crispy exterior, which soaked up the sauce much better as well. results were yummy! :)

I made this for dinner today. Yum :) I used regular soy sauce+water thinking it'd come out ok, but it was too salty. At least I know better now~ (Still great with rice though!) I also mixed in a little bit of corn starch too, just to thicken up the sauce a bit more. Might have been a little too much though lol... I'll nail it next time! Thanks for the simple recipe. Great place for me to start out :D
