Animating your subtitle text that way is nuts. Just apply a text animator. One layer is all you need. That’s what it was designed for.

for the first one you could make that in 2 seconds with fade up characters and just keyframe the percentages to the words, then going into keyframe assistant, toggle hold keyframes
@mapal4 ай бұрын
Yes but you're kinda missing the point there. The whole point of the first one is to set you up for the saucy version, which you can't just do with text animators.

im curious if you edit at all in premiere pro? or is majority of work possible in just after effects? curious how someone would choose when to move a project from pp to ae, or is it just constantly back n forth, or would it be like making the video edit in premiere pro entirely then just exporting it into ae or something... (I'm clearly on a mapal binge right now commenting everywhere lol)
@mapal4 ай бұрын
Any sort of animation I do in Ae. I’ll typically render out small sections of clips where I need animations then export the animation itself and put it back in my davinci timeline
@skipppppppa4 ай бұрын
@@mapal smart way to do it to help your GPU! Ill take that tip. do you not use premiere pro at all? just davinci instead? surprised as iirc that's free

Can't you just use the Typewriter effect for the first one?

For the very first one you could do a variation where you do it by word BUT you wouldn’t be able to combine it with the second variation in the same way.

Mapal quick question, I’ve noticed that some animators are highlighting text in black and then the font changes to white or a different color. Any idea on how to do this using pen tool and text in AE?
@mapal8 ай бұрын
Most likely just a blend mode. Could possibly be two different text layers but that would probably be too much work/unnecessary
@tryzoffx8 ай бұрын
couldn't you just use the effect "fade up words" for the first animations?

Technically yes BUT you wouldn't be able to do the sexy variation and easily combine them. All about the use case

I will definitely watch your video later. i have a question. my gpu is old (gt 1030 2gb) but my pc is i5-13600k and 32gb 6000 ddr5 ram. I heard from some that strong graphics do not affect the speed of working in After Effects. If I buy a rtx 3060 12gb, will it make me faster in after effects? what do you think? thanks.
@mapal8 ай бұрын
Ngl as a Mac user I have no clue about PC specs. All I know is for After Effects you definitely want to make sure you have a lot of RAM.
