I used to draw when I was a kid. For almost 15 years I have learnt drawing and painting. Learnt few things even I was ready to carry on my creativity for my future. But boom, my parents decided to stop this and focus on you study and exam. And as time passes all my beautiful thinking, creativity, skills gone away. Today I miss those days, I really miss my inside artist. For those who have kids here, don't take your kid's inside artist, take care of them and let them grow. Don't start to judge this talent in terms of money.

Ive experienced the exact same with my parents.. now even if I think of drawing, my mind goes blank.. it feels so scary to think how some things which we hold dear to our heart in past feel empty now.. P.s. now they have the audacity to actually ask me to draw pretty things like I did before and actually get suprised when I say I can't draw anymore..
@ayonmalik
@ayonmalik 3 жыл бұрын
@@manasasomu8432 yes same here. My mom sometime asks me to paint something, and for me it feels so odd, that I can't draw anything anymore. Every single creativity and specially those artistic eyes are now gone. Others thing that a piece of paper, some color can make a picture. But its the inside artist, the creativity, the limitless imagination which makes one person to draw something. Once it is gone, there is no way to bring it back. When I used to draw back then, I used to see drawings(more like ideas) on clouds, on trees. I know you used to see these too. But now there is nothing like that.

My mother kept a colored pencil drawing of St. Bernard puppies that I did in middle school. Stopped art until I took some "fun" classes in my late 20s after graduating college and could never get that innate talent back. ☹ I lost that picture after my mom passed, kinda miss it 😢

Please try again. My family elder tore my joining letter to arts collage and was sent away to study medicine. Now 20 years have passed with patients, marriage, kids etc etc... a year before the pandamic started a old friend gifted me oil pastels and black drawing paper..she said i know what u can do with colour, please try again.... with lot of private tears and soul searching, i have begun to sketch and paint....so please try again.

This seems like a really hard thing to do, based on the quality of the end result, but these are some most basic level methods i have seen used. Not that this means it doesnt take a certain level of skill to get these results. But these methods can be used by anyone, and while you might not get this level of result, yours would still be very good. This is what my old art teacher would call "Less is more" style art.
