This is so cool. I just love how you filmed this in a junkyard (like the original.) Priceless! And Mike, what a guy! :)

Yes, I really enjoy that aspect of it, it's the most fun part besides the music itself.

Outstanding! I had that album when it was released!😊 and yes, thanks Mike!👍🏻

That's awesome! I've always wondered what it would feel like buying a classic album on its release day, cool! Yeah, Mike is the man!

@@dreamerjazz352 Anticipating the release of an album was more than just waiting to listen to music. The album covers inside had photos of the artists, a story or background info about the music or making of the album, and some included the lyrics to each song. It was a total sensory experience for me when I was pre teen and teen in late 60’s early 70s. Of course, when the 8tracks and cassettes came along I thought they were the best 😳🤦🏻♂️😂.

You always do such a great job on these covers, and I know it must be painstakingly hard to edit all of your performances. Thank you for all the work that you do. Amazing!

I'm glad to hear so, thank you! Yeah, it is quite the process, but it's always fun to challenge what I can do.

Holy smokes! How do you keep outdoing yourself?! I grew up on TDN after the Beatles of course. One of my favorite of theirs. Thank you for this beautiful cover and capturing the essence of the spirit of the song! Keep rolling them.out!

Lol thanks! Oh that's cool! I picked up on Three Dog from my dad because he says that was his favorite band in the 70s. That's how I learned about them. Thanks again, playing here really put me in the spirit, it was very peaceful! There was this quietness to the yard and flowers growing next to all these abandoned cars, it's hard to explain, but very peaceful!

Could u make a video of your process to get the 60s/70s tones on your records?
@dreamerjazz352 Жыл бұрын
Perhaps in the future. I use a lot of vintage equipment. I'm using an AKG D-24 microphone for drums and vocals in this video. It's a dynamic mic from 1962. This model was used a lot on the Ed Sullivan Show.

A casio keyboard? No I seriously love your song choices. I think that would have been a farfisa though, right?
@dreamerjazz352 Жыл бұрын
Yes, a Casio XW-P1. It has an organ mode on it with drawbars. I was going for the Hammond B3 sound.

I like the VW hubcap as a tambourine like accouterment. This was the stage that Rock went through when if guys pretended to be sensitive they thought girls would throw themselves at the men. Some young men are still stuck in this infantilized stage. You got the vocal vibrato down cold.
@touredjacked4167Ай бұрын
I liked the set up. But, the back up vocals sounded a little off. 🤦♂️
